I've been dealing with both emotional and physical symptoms of perimenopause for years particularly around my cycle. It got to the point where my symptoms (too much to list here) were interfering with my daily activities. My Elektra Health Practitioner, Jackie Giannelli thoroughly read my intake form prior to our appointment. She had all questions/ concerns/ suggestions about my care plan well thought out. She was informative, and I appreciate that she took the time to explain things to me. As a whole, I definitely felt I was heard and understood. It felt like a collaborative experience, which I am so grateful for. Unfortunately, I don't feel like this is standard in today's menopause/perimenopause care - at least it wasn't in my prior experience. While strides are being taken to make it more accessible, I've looked into other online telehealth services for menopausal care and my insurance was simply not accepted. With Elektra, booking the appointments, forms and the patient's portal make it easy and user friendly. The video chat was also super convenient and easy to navigate. Conducting follow up questions for my practitioner and appointments were also a breeze. I am so pleased to have found Elektra, it's something I wish I found years earlier. My appointment with Dr. Lansen went very well! She is thorough, caring and knowledgeable, as well as patient as a great listener. I'm so happy that I was able to express my health concerns and provide a rundown of my medical history. Her insight and analysis was based on a holistic view, and she addressed concerns with helpful explanations. She also educated me on hormonal changes and treatments.
