Nora Lansen

Nora Lansen is a primary care physician and the Chief Medical Officer at Elektra Health. After completing her family medicine residency at the Institute for Family Health / Beth Israel (NY), Nora joined One Medical, where she provided full-spectrum primary care for almost a decade. She then moved on to Galileo Health, supporting the rapid growth of the clinical team while ensuring the delivery of high quality, accessible healthcare in the digital milieu. Nora joined Elektra in early 2024 where she serves as CMO and clinician, delivering whole-person, patient-centered care as a Menopause-Society Certified Practitioner.

Gail DeLasho
MD, MSCP
Gail DeLasho brings decades of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She trained at Boston University Medical Center, after which she moved to New York, where she has been practicing ever since. Dr. DeLasho is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and has been a member of The Menopause Society since 1994. She is also a member of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH), the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM), and the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD). Dr. DeLasho is excited to share her knowledge and expertise with a multitude of patients through Elektra's virtual care model.

Yvette Sims
Yvette Sims, FNP-C, MSCP
Yvette Sims is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner certified by The Menopause Society. She’s been in practice for over 20 years, with expertise that spans the full spectrum of care (family planning, breast health services, hormone health, lifestyle management, nutrition, and preventative care). Yvette has mentored Nurse Practitioner graduate students and developed educational seminars on menopause care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University and Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Pace University in Manhattan. In her free time, Yvette enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her two sons.

Kara Govoni
CNM, MSCP
Kara Govoni is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Menopause Society-Certified Practitioner who is also currently working towards an AASECT certification as a Sexuality Counselor. She has worked as a full-scope CNM for the past 13 years in both obstetrics and gynecology but over the past five years has honed her speciality to sexual health and midlife care, as she feels an increasing passion to help women during some of the most vulnerable – but least-talked-about — times in their lives.

Dawn Black is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in caring for women in the United States Air Force. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida and is a Menopause Society-Certified Practitioner (MSCP). Dawn practices personalized care where women feel heard and respected, ensuring their unique needs and concerns are addressed. When she’s not working, you can find Dawn spending time with family (her spouse, two children, and three Pomeranians!), traveling, reading, or exercising.

MD
Laurel Edmundson is a board-certified Family Physician who has been in practice for 19 years. She has broad experience, having worked in emergency and family medicine, college health, and urgent care settings. She also recently became a Certified Life Coach, helping women live their most authentic and fulfilling lives, and is training to become a mindfulness and meditation teacher.

Elissa Gretz Friedman
MD, FACOG, MSCP
Elissa Gretz Friedman is a board-certified OB/GYN and Menopause Society-Certified Practitioner. Dr. Friedman's considerable experience in menopause care includes over 20 years of practice at Mount Sinai, where she was the head of the Menopause Center of New York at Mount Sinai and where she started a menopause clinic for resident training. Dr. Friedman's prior experience also includes patient care in private practice and leadership of benign gynecology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She has published several journal articles on the topic of menopause and a book chapter on hot flashes.
