Elektra providers can treat menopause symptoms including hot flashes, sleep concerns, fatigue, vaginal dryness/painful sex, and more. We can also address menopause-adjacent health concerns such as high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, hypertension, anxiety/depression, etc.

Elektra's clinicians can order any labs! But menopause isn't one-size-fits-all, and the last thing we want is to order a generic panel of labs that doesn't provide relevant, actionable information. So the labs that make the most sense for you will be determined during your visit once your clinician has a full picture of your health history, symptoms, and goals.

We can prescribe all forms of non-hormonal AND hormone therapy, including patches, pills, rings, sprays, and gels. We prescribe FDA-approved systemic hormone therapy (most of which is bioidentical) and can prescribe oral contraceptive pills as hormone therapy.

To treat sexual dysfunction, we prescribe local vaginal hormone therapy (creams, suppositories, tablets, rings), as well as FDA-approved treatments for hypoactive sexual desire disorder such as flibanserin (Addyi) and bremelanotide (Vylessi).

We don’t prescribe compounded or non-FDA-approved medications. Also, while weight management is a common challenge among patients in this phase of life, Elektra is not currently providing medical weight loss management.

Less than 20% of OB/GYNs receive menopause training in their residency programs, and others simply don't spend time on it during a visit. This means that many women who consult their providers don't receive the care they deserve (in fact, 70% of women who seek menopause care don't receive treatment).

Elektra is trying to fill this gap with providers who are specially trained in menopause — although it's important to note that we are designed to complement, not replace, your in-person care.
